Schleußig is located southwest of the city centre and is the only district of Leipzig that is almost completely enclosed by waterways and is therefore accessible exclusively via bridges. The proximity to recreational areas such as the Clara-Zetkin-Park, the Leipzig Auwald or Cospudener See as well as to the city centre make Schleußig an attractive residential area.
