It's very difficult to find short-term accommodation in Ulm because the University of Ulm is so huge and overrun with out-of-town students. Without HC24, I don't know if I would have been able to find my apartment. The staff were always kind and helpful, but not always honest. In the last month before I was supposed to leave, they started showing the house, and I was notified the same day of the viewings, while the owner was kept in the dark. Conversely, to find out if I wanted to pay for the cleaning or do it myself, they asked the owner, not me. I (after being notified by the owner) chose to clean, but I finished later than the agreed-upon time. I was told it wasn't a problem, but then they sent me a €70 bill for the cleaning, even though the house was already clean, perhaps better than when I first moved in. Even the owner, a delightful person who, fortunately, has always been very helpful and honest, revealed to me that similar inconveniences have occurred over the years and that he's not happy with the situation. For utilities and insurance (not all of which are truly essential, as I later discovered), they encourage you to sign up with certain agencies, claiming they're the cheapest, but these are only the ones they have contact with, as the owner revealed to me.

Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars – so only one star. My experience with HC24 in Ulm was extremely disappointing. Perhaps another branch is better, but I personally cannot recommend the HC24 branch in Ulm to anyone. There was no sign of German quality there. I advise you to contact another company that truly understands what German quality standards mean.
